Purpose
An aquarium can open up a whole world.
An aquarium may be small, but there is so much life happening inside it.
You start out thinking you are simply keeping fish, and then somehow you find yourself learning about water, plants, balance, patience and care.

Look closer.
A small world. A bigger way of seeing.
You begin to see how everything depends on something else. And once you see that in a tank, you start seeing it everywhere — in ponds, trees, soil, rain, animals, seasons — in the way nature quietly holds everything together.
Living close to all of this has changed the way we see things. We have learnt to slow down, notice more and stop rushing to control everything.
Fishkeeping may have been where it started, but it opened up a much bigger way of understanding life. And I think that is what we love most about it.
The more you notice, the more connected everything becomes.

It is Jal — life itself. And somewhere along the way, we have begun to forget that connection.
For us, becoming water-wise begins by finding our way back to it. Through aquariums, learning and living systems, Symfiny helps us understand not only water — but how deeply we belong to it.

We’ve pretty much grown up around fish tanks, ponds, plants, farm animals and a whole lot of water.
We started out just loving fish. Then we got curious about the water they live in, where that water comes from, what keeps it healthy — and why all of it matters.
Now we’re learning as we go, asking a lot of questions, trying things for ourselves and sharing what we discover along the way.
